Safe Sports League Policy

HB Hoops LLC is fully committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and compliant environment for all participants. This policy aligns with New York State regulations and is designed to ensure the well-being of players, coaches, parents, and league officials.

Code of Conduct

All participants, including athletes, coaches, staff, and spectators, are expected to uphold respectful behavior at all times. Violations of conduct, including abusive or disruptive behavior, will result in disciplinary action.

Anti-Bullying and Harassment

HB Hoops LLC strictly prohibits any form of bullying, hazing, or harassment. Allegations will be promptly investigated, and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure a safe environment.

Safety Protocols

The safety of all participants is paramount. First aid resources, emergency contacts, and regular equipment inspections are provided to maintain safety during all league activities.

Child Protection and Welfare

In accordance with New York State law, all staff and volunteers who interact with minors undergo thorough background checks. Suspicion of abuse or neglect will be reported in compliance with mandatory reporting laws.

Concussion Protocol

All suspected concussions require immediate evaluation, and players may not return to play without clearance from a licensed medical professional. Coaches and staff are trained to recognize and manage concussion symptoms.

Mandatory Reporting

It is the responsibility of all members of the league to report any incidents of unsafe behavior or misconduct. Reports can be made to (Designated Contact/Official) and will be handled confidentially.

Waivers and Acknowledgments

All players and their legal guardians must sign a waiver acknowledging the inherent risks of sports participation and agreeing to abide by this policy.
